As this documentary will be screened in bristol and shown on youtube, I need to stick to Ofcom rulings and youtube terms of service. Ofcom is a regulatory body that screens show that is shown on television, when sticking to their rulings I need to avoid condoning any of the artist’s controversial views. This means avoiding any hate speech. I do not want to represent the artist unfairly, so I will avoid defamation of character, slander, or libel. I will also avoid condoning any talk of drugs or petty crime. Ofcom takes complaints from the public, so I need to follow their guidelines to avoid complaints from them. As I am also showing the artist’s work, I need them to sign a release form to get permission to show it. I also need to get model release forms for anyone shown in the documentary, for use of their likeness.
